Rock-n-Roll
Hit the Town is pretty much a self-explanatory song. I was trying to think of lyrics for the song for a few days and one day while I was sitting in traffic, it hit me. I was completely fed up with sitting in my car for 45 minutes when it’s a 20 minute drive. I felt like the life I was, and still am, living was going to prevent me from doing any kind of artistic expression. Then I realized that when I go out and perform or have a good time, it is my artistic expression. Letting myself go on the stage was going to save my sanity. Mike G.
Morning drive, nine to five, don't really know how I'm gonna survive
Feel I'm bound to this life I've found, let it all go when I hear that rock-n-roll sound
Breakneck pace of this rat race, feel like mind's gonna get replaced
Can't hold on to the things that's gone, hope you understand when you hear this song...
