Songwriter, home recordist, and occassional performer. I write songs intended primarily for bikers who have either found Jesus or need to. For those that see
I've been a songwriter from the moment I picked up my first guitar. Over the years I've developed some skills on the keyboard as well which I use extensively in my home recording studio. I see myself more as a songwriter and session recorder than performer, though I do occassionally perform. Although I've written conventional and traditional material for most of my life, I gave up on it several years ago, primarily because there was nothing I found inspiring. Then I let Jesus come into my life and the inspiration began flowing like a river once again. I believe this is because God has a new mission for me, and that is to reach out and minister, through my music, to those in dire need of his saving grace. My audience is more likely to have tatoos and a motorcycle than a nice haircut and a minivan. This is for the folks who felt life rejected them from the beginning, so they have rejected life...but in doing so, they rejected the only thing in life that could save them from their misery. As one of the pastors from North Carolina's Freedom Riders stated to me, you can't ride free if you don't know what real freedom is, and only Jesus can give you that kind of freedom. I don't think you have to own a bike to have a biker mindset and to relate to this music. This music is for anyone who has felt beaten by life. Those who have tried all the worldly avenues to try and fill the hole in their hearts, but have found nothing but more misery and pain. For the hopeless in search of hope. And for those that have found Jesus and desperately hold onto that precious gift because they know, better than anyone else, how miserable life can be without it.

Story behind the song
Not long ago I discovered a biker church called the Salvation Saloon. I don't know what made me decide to attend services there, but it ultimately changed, and saved my life. I was accepted for who I was without question, as is everyone there. This song is dedicated to those wonderful members of that church who truly understand God's love for everyone regardless of where they come from or who they are.
Lyrics
Riding With The Lord © 2009 D. George The road you choose to travel Isna019t based on where youa019ve been. Ita019s about the place you want to be When you reach your journeya019s end. To some it doesna019t matter Just as long as they arrive. It depends on if you ride to live Or just living to survive. Ia019ve never cared about what lies ahead of me. I travel by the grace of God that sets my spirit free. CHORUS: I take the road where the sun always shines. Where the cool breeze of forgiveness Always brings me peace of mind. And I know at the end of this ride, That life was worth the journey, Cuz I was riding with the Lord at my side. At times I like to think on All the places that Ia019ve been. How I learned the lessons of my life I wouldna019t want to learn again. Through all the pain and heartache He was there beside of me. With a helping hand he offered I was just too proud to see. And in the hardest times I always turned to him. And in spite of all my failures he was there for me again.
