Story behind the song
The lyrics always reminded me of Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf or Muddy Waters type or subject matter so I decided to do it slow. Drum groove sampled from Stanton's Moore's version of When the Levee Breaks. I chopped it and recomposed as needed. Synth is the BeBot app from my iPhone. Guitar is a 50's Harmony with a Dearmond pickups strapped to the bride. Sang thru a megaphone into an RCA 77-DX. Added a bit of White Lap steel for texture and atmosphere. Ran everything direct thru a Zinky Master Blaster into ProTools OG MBox. No amps used on this one.

Superstitious Lyrics by Stevie Wonder

Very superstitious, writing's on the wall
Very superstitious, ladders bout' to fall
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
 Then you suffer
 Superstition ain't the way

Very superstitious, wash your face and hands
Rid me of the problem, do all that you can
Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin' strong
You don't wanna save me, sad is my song

When you believe in things that you don't understand
 Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, yeh, yeh

Very superstitious, nothin' more to say
Very superstitious, the devil's on his way
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck, good things in your past

When you believe in things that you don't understand
 Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, no, no, no
