I have been a musician - performer and composer - for close to 50 years, and I've been playing guitar for about 42 of those years. I have become mostly a player of Blues as of late and recently was invited to be the lead guitarist of a revived Blues-Rock 60's band. This picture is of me, and yes, Les Paul! And that's my Les Paul Deluxe, which I play along with my Clapton signature stratocaster.

Story behind the song

This is another very special collaborations between me and Joe Strummer - please visit his Music page at :

This is a combination of my New York City Blues #1 and #2 in honor of New York City and everyone who suffered as a result of the attacks on the WTC on September 11, 2001. Joe took the best of the Strat solos from #1 and the Les Paul solos from #2 and put them together in this one piece - which I call "Too Blue" - for two songs and also for the fact that what happened that day left most of us too blue to comprehend. 

Thank you agan Joe for another wonderful idea that you brought to fruition!
