These are things that sounded good to me at the time. I hope you like them...I had fun creating them. I'm trying to learn the art(s) of writing and recording, so if you have any advice, drop me a line! AND-WHY

Story behind the song
The rules for this contest were to write a song inspired by another piece of art, be it song, painting, poetry, novel, whatever! This song was based on "Cherub Rock" by Smashing Pumpkins for the general guitar chords...I mangled them up and changed them a good bit, but used some of Billy Corgan's chord shapes to accomplish this. The groove was based on "Steve McCrosky" by Gomez...just the general feel. I enjoyed taking two completely different songs and bringing elements of them together. The words are my own, and the spoken part came from taking the actual lyrics I wrote, sending them through Babblefish to translate them into Chinese, then translating back into English...it made some wonderfully appropriate poetry.
