No band, really. Just me and a couple family members in a bedroom studio.
I am a singer/songwriter at heart, but reality has me working a full time job. I don't play in a band, but love to sit around a campfire sharing my songs with anyone willing to listen.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song shortly after the hurricane, Katrina, hit the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama coast line. I know people who lost their homes and possessions and tried to express what they must have gone through.
Lyrics
The storm is coming. Heed the warning. Pick up now and leave this town. Those who stay here As the storm nears Will feel her fury come crashing down. Water's rising, Stragglers climbing Up on rooftops now they stand. Madly waiving, Hoping, praying Their salvation is near at hand. Oh, Katrina What have you done? Our hopes and dreams are washed away. Look around now I dont know how We'll live through this another day. People hungry, Tired and thirsty. How much longer will they last? Babies crying, Old folks dying. Where's the help? Please get here fast. Fires are burning, Good folks turning To each other trying to survive. Thieves are looting, Even shooting Are we forgotten? Will help arrive? Oh, Katrina What have you done? Our hopes and dreams are washed away. Look around now, I don't know how We'll live through this another day. Help's arriving, Hope is thriving. Neighbors joining in across the land. Louisiana, Alabama, And Mississippi will build again. Oh, Katrina What has she done? She's taught us how to be a friend. We'll help each other And rise above her. She won't defeat us in the end. Oh, Katrina Look what she's done. She's taught us how to be a friend. We'll help each other And rise above her. We'll work together to build again.
