English lyricist working with dozens of composers and artists
I am a lyricist working with many composers and artists around the world and most frequently with 2 guys, Juri Rosenfeld and Mark Ellis who, although their styles are entirely different, are both extremely talented as musicians and composers, as well as producers. Along with these two, with whom I have written more than 50 songs....I have been most fortunate to collaborate with so many others that the list is almost endless but two very talented ladies spring to mind: Dawn Diamond and Amy Caldwell, who have not only both composed for my words but have also both are possessed of beautiful voices and have sung many, many times on songs I have written. There is no ONE genre I write for, since a lyricist has to be able to write for ANY category and I do, but one thing I try to be always, is honest in my work because when there is integrity, there is a way to relate to the song and if occasionally I meander into the poetic, it is because I am and always have been, since the age of 13 years, a poet...but that doesn't mean everything I write is flowery or full of metaphors...as I say, I strive always to be real and of course, most importantly, to be as unique as possible.

Story behind the song
Other versions of this song were good but this one blew me away (as most of Tony's work does)
Lyrics
Haven't written anything for longer than a year I can't remember roads I walked to get from there to here Burned so many bridges now there is no turning back I missed the train to Sanity So I'm walking on the track How can I choose my future when the past is haunting me Tomorrow seems too far away when you chase Eternity When do I find the strength to reach for one bright guiding star They say you have to look inside but even that's too far that's too far There's a groove along my finger where I've held the pen too long I woulda written reams by now but the words just come out wrong I've burned so many candles from both ends of a rhyme I'm standing in a waxen pool so I'm just counting time You know what I was searching for; you said it wasn't real I closed my ears and walked away; I knew you couldn't feel the way that I felt trapped by all that you could offer me The truth was much too painful and my eyes too blind to see I had my future in you if I'd waited patiently You would have been my guiding star towards Eternity I have to find the strength to reach beyond the battle scar and beg for your forgiveness if you haven't gone too far, gone too far You could be my guiding star if you haven't gone too far, gone too far
