The Marcs are the product of a controversial scientific experiment conducted in 2002. The aim was to create the greatest band in history using DNA from every great band that had ever existed. The experiment was an incredible success. So much so, in fact, that when the finished product was displayed to record company big wigs, they feared competing with these clones would plunge the entire industry into recession. So these brilliant scientists were paid seventeen trillion pounds to ensure the product never reached the public. As a result The Marcs spent a year in a cellar, without access to any instruments, occassionaly being fed chew sticks for dogs and candy cigarettes. But they broke free, and despite a huge search, have managed to avoid capture by only playing to the coolest of the cool, who are far too cool to be tempted by massive amounts of cash. As good as the songs available here are, the full greatness of The Marcs can never be unveiled, as it will lead to inevitable capture.

Story behind the song
A song mocking the idea that fun in music is WRONG and that somehow pseudo-angst is superior.
Lyrics
I wrote a song in a fit of rage I got so mad I ripped the page So I had to start again But I wasn't that mad by then So I faked it and teenagers loved it
