Singer-songwriter Scott Gordon offers superbly crafted songs in a mostly progressive pop-rock genre with a sensitivity to varied audiences. Unique and innovativ
I am a singer-songwriter who writes and performs progressive rock and light rock ballads on piano, keyboards and guitar. I sometimes bring in my wife, friends and former bandmembers to assist with my performances, but with busy schedules amongst us, more often than not these are usually solo performances enhanced with MIDI back-up tracks, which provide a beautiful contrast of a live vocal and guitar or piano over a pre-recorded background.

Story behind the song
The song pretty much tells the story - it's about how special my daughter was to me.
Lyrics
SPECIAL DAUGHTER 1995 - Dallas TX Holding a baby who's crying to sleep Frightened and tired and wanting to keep Someone special beside her Daddy is near And there's nothing for baby to fear I remember the moment when you arrived I felt more like giving I felt more alive And the sounds were so simple that you made happily And I knew that you made them for me Trips to the playground for walks on our hands Swinging upside down making mountains of sand And the zoo and the fairgrounds the amusement park rides - (laughing) With Mother and Dad at your side -There are many who love you They all want to see -You taking the challenge Being all you can be -What a hope for the future where children can be -Happy and shining and Free... Those pictures you drew me the dreams you would share Communicate to me I knew you were there But out of all of those memories I most love to see Those pictures you drew just for me Special Daughter - 1995 - Scott Gordon
