Murder By Static

Murder By Static is an experimental electronica project fusing elements of hardcore techno, Idm, drum n' bass/drill n' bass, trance, industrial and ambient styles along with other experimental ideas to create an effective soundscape of pounding fury, psychotropic serenity or just relaxing harmony.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed in the summer of 1996 by C. Stepniewski due to an interest in experimental electronica. In 1997 ten tracks were recorded but never released. 1998 brought on new compositions and early 1999 saw the recording and release of the debut entitled, 'Noise Pollution in Stereo', which featured 10 tracks and was first released on a split cd with Noisecore Freak entitled, 'Welcome to the Stitchface Scar Sitter Experience'. It was a limited edition cd, only 1000 were pressed. The debut received great reviews and prospects for a sophmore release were excellent but due to financial complexities, Murder By Static was laid to rest. Then in 2002, with a new year and a fresh breath of air came some much needed revived inspiration and four songs were recorded but never released. Due to C. Stepniewski' involvement with his project 'Noisecore Freak', the year drifted by and the new year came. Finally, mid - 2003, new software and new idea's brought on the beginning of M.B.S.' sophomore release, 'The Art of Perplexity', and mid - 2004 saw it's release followed by the remastered version of 'Noise Pollution in Stereo'. Again, garnering great reviews and interest, 'The Art of Perplexity's' underground success kept the idea's flowing and M.B.S. was revived. The summer of 2005 saw the release of a three song ep entitled, 'Psychotronic Motel' and the third full length, 'Tidal Bits', was released that winter followed by the fourth full length, "Luxicon Phase", in 2006 and the fifth, "Exsits", a year later in 2007.
