Great Punk Rock Show at the Mad Hatter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walt, Pat and Chris saw a really cool show on Feb. 1st at the Mad Hatter in Covington, Ky. The show had the legendary Dwarves (http://www.thedwarves.com/) with The Turbo A.C.s (http://www.turboacs.com/), Angels of Meth (http://www.myspace.com/angelsofmeth), and Death In Graceland (http://www.deathingraceland.com/).
Unfortunately we missed Death in Graceland which is a popular local band. We were lucky enough though to catch the other local band, Angels of Meth, who really kicked butt and took names. They are kind of a bluesy metal style that was just relentless. I highly recommend seeing these guys if you get a chance.
The two national acts were good old fashioned old school punk bands. Both delivered high power performances. The Dwarves were the most interesting with their lead guitarist (He Who Has No Name) playing the whole show wearing nothing more than a mexican wrestling mask, thong and guitar. Thankfully

Cool show coming to Bogarts on Feb. 7th.
Avenged Sevenfold with CKY and a band called the Confession. I would highly recomend seeing this show just for A7X. They were really good at the 2005 Warped Tour at Riverbend Music Center.
Rock on!!!!!!

Saw a really good show last night at the Southgate House in Newport, Ky. Kill City opening for Electric Frankenstein. If you ever get a chance to see KC live you should definitely check them out. They are good down and dirty rock 'n roll reminiscent of the Stooges.
It was my first time to see EF, but they didn't quite live up to my expectations. The guitars where just too overbearing live. I expected a better production from them. It was hard to hear the vocals and bass, but they definitely still had the energy that is on their cds.
Dead Flowers, the band that played before KC were pretty good too. Their guitar player was pretty damn impressive. They have a female lead singer that could really sing and also could hold her own in the mosh pit.
Overall it was an enjoyable night.

*** NEW BAND LINE-UP *** Yep, you read it correctly. The band has undergone some personnel changes. Mundaze Suck is now Walt on Bass, Joe on Drums, Chris on Guitar, and Tony on Lead Vocals. We will be playing out very soon so keep checking back for updates. Good luck to Mike and Pat in their pursuit of playing cover songs. Rick has joined up with them on bass to become Driven Under.
