Formed in 1991 as an outlet to take out their frustrations with everyday life, Mundaze Suck grew into a whole lot more. The founding members were Walt on lead guitar/bass and lead vocals, Mike on rhythm guitar, and Pat on drums. When they first started there wasn't a bass player. Walt played bass parts to many songs using his guitar processor (we think this is where the White Stripes got the idea). Eventually the band tried out several bass players, but none quite fit their style. After deciding if you wanted something done right you've got to do it yourself, Walt bought a bass and took on the task of holding down the bottom end full time. This opened up the lead guitar spot that was quickly filled by Walt's cousin Chris. More changes to the line-up happened in 2007. Mike and Pat started a covers only band called Driven Under. Walt recruited Joe to play drums and Tony for lead vocals. Chris came back to the line-up after a short vacation from the band and the line-up was complete once again. Chris still plays bass in a Cincy band named Loose Threads. Update: Early 2008 finds Walt and Pat looking for the right people to put this band in front of the people where we are destined to be. Stay tuned....
Band/artist history
Mundaze Suck started in the early 90's by Walt playing guitar plus holding down vocal duties and Pat on drums. Mike joined on rhythm guitar and Walt started working on his lead guitar playing. Homer was then added on bass. Mundaze Suck went to Backstage Studio in Covington, KY to record a couple of their originals to enter in a WEBN Battle of the Bands contest. The songs were W/O U and Home (Unsweet Home), both of which can be heard in our music section. This line-up stayed together for a while. Near the end of the 90's Homer was replaced by Roger (aka "the scumbag") on bass and Dale joined as the lead singer. Mundaze Suck's first live party (Halloween) was played with this line-up. Shortly after the Halloween party, the band split up for a while. A few years later the band was reassembled with a new line-up. Walt switched to playing bass and back to lead vocals. Mike and Pat kept their previous positions and the lead guitar position was filled by Walt's very talented cousin, Chris. Everyone had used the time off to become better musicians. It is with this current line-up that the streak of parties had started. Family, holiday, field, graduation, keg, and bar mitzvah parties, you name it, we'll play it. We started working on recording some between 2005 - 2006 and plan on recording enough of our originals to make a whole cd sometime in 2007. We will post songs on this website as we get them recorded. The songs recorded in 2005 were Dain Bramage, Girl's Gone Mental, and Blow Up. The production is a little rough on these songs because we were just learning how to do the home recording thing. We plan on re-recording all our songs with the current band line-up because the songs just seem to rock more these days. New line-up coming soon......

Support the local music scene in N.KY. The Southgate House in Newport and the Mad Hatter in Covington are great places to see local bands that are paying their dues. If you know of any other places like these in N.KY then please make a post about them on our message board. And frequent these places as much as possible so they don't get shut down like Radio One in Covington.
