What up people??... this Toby from MUESTRA gRaTiS.
We are a 4 piece Ska and Punk band. The Actual linup is : ANDRES - Background Vocals and Guitar, MILTON - Bass, TOBY - Drums, BANANO - Vocals, ESTUARDO - TROMBONE, KIKE - TRUMPET.
Well we started playing in 2000, and just wanted to put our in what we like the most (MUSIC), and share it with everyone, we started out as a 6 piece band actually but MANOLO and BETSY decided to say farewell because of school. We played local gig and bar over tthe past towo years and in 2003, we started playing more serious gigs and getting booked on some big gigs.
2004, for us is gonna be just amazing we plan on booking as many gigs as we can we got some friends on the scene that are gonna play with us such as : CADES and RAISAN BINS.
As of 2005, we met ENRIQUE, and through him we met BANANO and KIKE, BANANO started playing the saxophone, but we still needed lead vocals so he offered to do it.

2000 - We started because the feeling of making music had grown in evryone of us so we searching for the sound of our music that we liked.
Andres and I have been playing since we were kids at church, Carolis is Andres's sister, Manolo and Betsy we met them cause they stated playing on another group at church, Milton was the last one we met he was the quiet kid at the last row on sunday church, but little did we knew that he was an awesome bass and keyboard player, so we all became very good friends since.
Through 2000, we decided for ska and punk and started playing arranging our songs, well actually Milton did all the lyrics and we just arrenged them, our first reall gig was on a lttle theater we hired and invited all our friends and played so lame and crapy we had to do set twice cause it sucked so bad!!!
After that we gave it a low profile and rehearsed like nuts through like 4 months and started in local gigs we arrenged our self and some invitations too.
After a full year of gigs and having a lot of fun, Manolo gave us some breaking news, we'll we were actually waiting for it, cause we knew that he did not liked neither ska or punk. he said that this wasn't hes thing and he wasn't really happy, so we had to let him go, and the other reason was because he had some much work at school he had to go through ugly stuff at his house to get to rehearsal same as his sister, Betsy, the battle with them was that they weren't paying much attention to school , so we had to let them go, we still play together at church.
Carolis left to pursue other interestes, so we were back to a power trio, experimenting different music styles.
We met Estuardo, a trombone player from "Los Pretorianos". He introduced us to Oscar "Banano" and Enrique "Kike", who were also playing with him. We started playing with them since then.
Banano started as a saxophone player, but he later switched to vocals for the need of a lead vocalist.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yeah we play live shows, we mostly play at local bars and restaurants and some big shows we've been included. We love playing live, thats what is all about ain't it?. Special moments... ohh yeah once we stayed way passed midnight!
