I'm gonna keep it real when I talk about myself here. I have been making beats for almost 6 years now and I continue to develop and Grow. Beat Making and Music Creation to me is the greatest give I have been given, besides life. I like it because not only am I the boss every time I step up to the keyboard but it's literally a continuous struggle to get better and a grow stronger. A lot of beat makers and musician's fall off because they don't stick to the grind. It's always TWO steps forward and ONE step back. That's a world recognized system for success and even the greatest of the greats will tell you that.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have never played live, never really had the time, never needed to, but none-the-less I definitely want to be more than a beat maker and I plan on playing live in the future.
Your musical influences
Dr Dre, DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Scott Storch, Mysto and Pizzi, Neptunes, Swizz Beats, Timbaland. But more than just these people who were not only great at making beats, but are great at networking, I am constantly inspired by people who have not had the chance to get noticed, and may never. These are the people who play music because the TRULY love it and the money is and never will be an issue. The passion and work ethic that they possess only rubs off on me and I appreciate all of these people for coming into my life. I am also inspired by the people with ridiculous amounts of talent but do not have the work ethic. Whether it be age, laziness, lack of drive or lack of passion, they constantly remind me of what I should not be doing as a musician or a beat maker.
What equipment do you use?
1) PC - Loaded with as much Memory as possible. 2) Protools 3) Reason 4) Sonar 5) Fl Studio 6.0 6) An old crappy Yamaha keyboard 7) and Astronomically large Library filled with samples 8) Vst's and loads of plugins 9) Roland Fantom 10) Roland MC-808 Groovebox 11) Cubase It's not what you use, but how you use it. Beat makers need to stop obsessing over the most expensive gear and find alternate routes rather than going with what has been done and proven.
