Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"Unexpected pleasures, that's what I'm going to give to you." Soul music has a new prophet, and he goes by the name KUKU. Born in the America to Nigerian parents, KUKU embraces the music of his birthplace, but traces of his origin are ever evident in his live and recorded works. His acoustic performances bring out his true essence of music and songwriting. And while his rich vocal tone is reminiscent of many of the greats, it is unmistakably original.
Love is his message, regardless of how the song goes about telling the story. This notion will be heard in the soon to be released independent project, "Unexpected Pleasures." According to Kuku " Unexpected Pleasers is the only title that is suitable for this album. Not only is it the name of the debut song, but people who haven't heard me are definitely not expecting this sound from a 6'4" African man." Lyrically this album gives a unique and innovative sound to the experience of love. The name "Kuku" will soon be etched in your mind forever as it is added among the auspicious list of exceptional singers/songwriters.
