MPRESS started with a dream and lots of hard work in Sept. of 1999! Marissa 20, Lauren 17 and Zoraida 21came together through a series of auditions in Florida. Today, their unique style and sounds are moving fast through the music world of POP. They have Finished their long awaited debut CD titled "Suddenly" and have worked with some of the same superstar producers that produced for the Backstreet Boys, N-SYNC, Kieth Sweat, Boyz & Girlz United, Innosense, Take 5, Blaque and others.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Marissa, Lauren and Zoraida were all discovered by a man named Jim McMahan who held auditions for more than 200 teen girls. They have been together since Sept, 1999. Mpress has just finished their CD with their single "Not Because of you" hitting the airwaves now!They have been Coached and Developed by some of the same Pro's who were involved with BSB, N-SYNC, MANDY MOORE, INNOSENSE, BOYZ & GIRLZ UNITED, TAKE 5 & more. MPRESS is makin waves around the country and soon will be heard Internationally!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have had lots of live performances! Everything from Shopping Malls and Radio Disney Events to the Sport stadiums and Theaters. We headlined a show called "Showtime on the Waterfront" Produced by BIG3 Entertainment of St. Petersburg Florida. The show featured 13 other artists. Legendary Superstar "Paul Anka" was there to host the event.We then went to Monoco for the Prince of Monoco and the Celebrity Pro/Am Golf Tournament! We performed at the prestigous "Sporting Club" where they have the "World Music Awards" every year. Most recently we headlined in Vegas at "The Rio" for 1 week and then at the "MGM Grand" and Studio 54 for 2 weeks. Next up we are at "Summer Jam 2001" in Vegas featuring BoysIIMen, Nelly, Tyrese, Jessica Simpson, Mya, Olivia, Ashley Ballard, Tanya Mitchell, Us and more! Thats May, 19. 2001 at the Stadium.

Influences are Janet Jackson, TLC, Destinys Child, Celine Dion, Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey, MYA and more....We are more of a R&B/Dance/Pop sound and feel!
