MOUTHPEECE

Mouthpeece's soon to be released two-track single provides a taste of the versatility Mouth brings to the table. While "GIVE PRAISE" highlights his vivacious, cocky rapping style, laced with dangerous punch-lines over production from Korry D's of IRS. Mouthpeece's ability to grace the mic with verses strung with realistic escapades of his daily life definitely strikes a chord with hip-hop loyalists.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
His years of underground work have culminated an extensive repertoire. He has made numerous appearances on radio shows, performed at various venues and has multiple collaborations with well-reputed artists on various albums. Mouth has appeared as a guest on every Toronto college urban radio stations including 89.5 FM, and 88.1 FM. The epitome of his performances was the 10 minute freestyle he dropped on Mark Campbell’s “Bigger than hip hop show” hosted by DJ Grouch on 105.5 FM. His first appearance on Project Bounce’s 89.5 FM “Guilty Party” show with Adam Bomb and Scandalous from Empire was so spectacular he was invited to co-host the show on Wednesdays. He has made appearances at venues across Toronto including the Reverb, Mel Lastman Square, and Berlin. Mouthpiece has made a name for himself in the underground by lyrically twisting heads, and paying dues along the way. At 15, he spent time recording his first demo with a producer named Rahmel whose roster includes Harpoon Missile and Melanie Durrant. At 17, by a stroke of serendipity his aunt married Universal Music Canada’s president Randy Lennox. He has since been honing his lyrical skills and developing his own sound, flowing with the likes of artists and producers including Bookworm, and JSN from the Oddities, as well as Korry Dees from the Universal signed group IRS. He has rapped in various well-known studios such as Low Key, CBC, 306, and Slam productions. His collaborations with such well-known groups corroborate the fact that he has the respect of the underground.
