cinematic orch., motown sound, amon tobin, roni size (breakbeat era) and the whole london DNB scene, moloko, de-phazz, lots of ehtnic sounds and many classic composers (shubert, chaikovskiy, brahms, chopin)
What equipment do you use?
PC (athlon 1800+, 768mb Ram, RME Hammerfall) samson mic, behringer pa, midi-controller, FL, some great free-vsts (monomate changed my life!! http://www.tweakbench.com/instruments.php?id=2)
