Band leader Russ Weeks plays mandolin, guitar & fiddle as well as doing most of the lead singing. He is the only original founding member of the group. Russ is a 27 year veteran of Bluegrass Music contributing most of the original material to this group. He has been a BMI songwriter since 1995. He is the owner of Weeksman publishing BMI.

Steve West plays banjo for the group. He sings Tenor, and has been a bluegrass musician for 40 years. He spent 30 years of his life as a professional "Country Show" musician and owner in Central Missouri. Steve is currently a Camden County commissioner.

Daniel O'Callaghan is the newest member of Mt. Zion . He is an accomplished guitarist and mandolin player, taking third place in the National Mandolin Picking Championship held in Grove Oklahoma in June 2004. He lives in Mansfield Missouri and teaches guitar and mandolin. He sings Baritone and plays guitar for Mt. Zion.

Tyler Weeks just turned 17 and plays and sings Bass in an outstanding fashion. His bass vocal qualities are to be compared with Ray Deaton, Dale Perry, and Terry Baucom He is sure to bring the crowd to life with his energetic bass playing. Tyler has been an inspiration to his high school choir, leading the bass section to excellent ratings and himself receiving excellent ratings at state music competitions with his solo singing. He will graduate in May of 2005 and is looking forward to embarking on a musical career full time
