Hi, my name is Bruce. The picture is not really of me or my band. It's a picture of my daughters dog. The dog's name is Snow White. My daughter's name is Fiona.
I was born, began playing the piano at the age of 4, practiced hard, got a lot of training and experience in playing, composing, arranging, improvisation..blah, blah, blah...and...Voila! Here I am!
I am actually a classical accompanist. A "collaborating artist". I play mostly in the State of Colorado these days and have a University job. I have played in rock and jazz bands. I have been a lounge pianist a little bit. I had a wedding music business in a Colorado resort town for a few years. I can do a mean "Canon in D".
I don't remember. I have enjoyed many things and disliked many things. They have all helped to shape me.
Some things posted will be from projects I have going. Currently I am working on a CD of old hymns [mostly American]. Many people have told me that I sound "New Age" when I improvise arrangements of these hymns. All of my hymn arrangements are improvisational. Soon I will also begin a CD of Scott Joplin's piano music - not only his 2 step Rags, but some of his Waltzes and Marches as well.
