It's about personal crises when one has point of view where symbols of love and death are ill omens.
Morian Lagartija & The Cat-O'-Nine-Tails is a band from Niksic, Montenegro, a provincial, industrial town from East Europe where you hardly can find anybody creates alt music. Very often there is a lack of electricity, there, so, reasonably, Niksic is dark town. And our music is dark, too. It's kind of mixture of Paisly Underground and early Goth music from 80s and No Depression from 90s (Mazzy Star plus Bauhaus, for example). Besides, our performaces are really attached with theatre. In a way, our concerts ARE kind of horror theatre.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. In theatre in Niksic, Podgorica, Belgrade, Budapest. Sometimes I (Morian Lagartija part of the band) have solo projects but, mostly, with band's songs. Well, on concert I'm getting powerfull energy, and the concerts are kinds of research either within my own personality or within theatre.
Your musical influences
We created music with strong Bauhaus influence. But, you can find something of the Killing Joke, Cure, Green On Red from first album. We have cabaret elements. Slovenian middle age folk songs influence, music from baroque era, too. But guitars are sometimes crashing, too, just like from nordic black metal scene.What equipment do you use?
Two electric guitars, classical piano, percussions. Sometimes bass guitar.Anything else?
Maybe all planets in universe are producing musical harmony, but we can't hear it here on earth.
