Morenzo is a dj in the northwest of England who has only been making music for 6 months. He currently makes his music from a spare room in his house using logic audio and is on his way to becoming a qualified audio engineer. He really loves dirty base lines and if you listen to his music you will notice this.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I was only 14 years old when i really began to appriciate music and was easily hooked on the idea of getting involved in making it. So i worked all summer to buy my first pair of decks. Straight away i knew this is what i wanted to do. soon after i came across a music making program for the playstation (music 2000) which allowed the average person to make music with the samples that were on it, and i loved it.
After making alot of wrong turns over the years and neglecting my intrest in music, i ended up at a cross road, where i basically could have ended up doing anything from working in an office to becoming a physio therapist. but after waking up one day with the same hunger for music i had at 14, the first thing that came into my head was a friend i hadn't seen in ages who i knew could somehow play an important part in making it a career. the very same day... who did i see? none other than the man himself, DJ MAW. This was no coinsidence and the very next day we were making music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Morenzo is curently promoting his music around clubs in the northwest and is successfully selling a few of his tunes in several shops and is also selling his music on line through several sites including his label house48.com
Your musical influences
i absolutely love hedkandi. i always go to a club called garlands where they play hedkandi stlye music so i suppose that's where i get my inspiration. as well as justin robertsons electro house sound
