Jon Vegard Ness - Voice & Guitar Erik Wendel - Bass Jan Christiansen - Drums & Cymbals MoonFall is a semi-progressive heavy band from the deep woods of Norway. Our influences ranges from Death metal to modern Jazz music.

We started MoonFall in the summer of 2003, after me and drummer Jan Christiansen had quit a prog. gothic metal band called Trishna. Our main intentions with this band was to keep everything a little more song focused, instead of focusing on technical abilities on our instruments. We've taken a more heavy approach, too. In September, we recorded our first single entitled "September". The story is inspired by a story written by O. Henry called "The last leaf". The music showcases much of what the band is all about, heavy riffs and all, but also very melodic parts within the song wich we think makes for an interesting mix in general. A short time after that, we got Erik Wendel replacing the bass, and right now, we're doing our rehearshing for an upcoming album of about 7 songs.

We love playing live, and we do it as often as when we can. We haven't done anything international yet, but we really want to and we're going to try and do that. I can't remember any very special moments right now.

Inspiration comes in many forms, not only music.. of course, we're into all the greats like Zeppelin, YES, Sabbath, Maiden, Metallica and so on, none of wich has anything to do with our music, especially. And there's also modern bands like Opeth, Type O Negative, Pantera, Dream Theater... But when it comes to inspiration, the things that triggers it is mostly different emotions and vibes, maybe things that happen in life, personal experience and things like that.. many of my lyrics comes from things like that.
