Monster Soundz is a collection of DJs and MCs from north Yorkshire. The Djs are me (Kool DJ Abstract) and DJ JaXon. We dont just play hip hop, we play allsorts including breakbeat, Dubstep and DnB. The Mcs are Koopa, Obi Joe, Jakanory Jeffers and Big Nate. They all have different styles to each other but it all works!!Band/artist history
Monster Soundz Collective started about 6 months ago when the original members of a previouse uk hip hop group (Abstract, Koopa, Obi) reformed.
Kool DJ Abstract: I started Djing almost 10 years ago back when i was at school. I was part of a uk hip hop group with Obi Joe and Koopa known as The Heavy Heavy Squad, We made a few mix tapes but never really took it seriously. We later disbanded when we all turned 16 and left school. 7 years passed, i got much better at mixing and scratching, Obi and Koopa also kept practicing and after a while we reformed under the new name Monster Soundz Collective and gained a few more members.
DJ JaXon: I started Djing about 3 years ago. At first i was all about Dark DnB and also mced over DnB. I met Kool DJ Abstract last year and he started to teach me the art of turntablism. Since then all i do is scratch!! I still mix DnB from time to time though =p
Koopa: I DJ, MC and Produce. I've known Abstract for 10 years and as you now know was in a group with him at school (aaah good times).
Obi Joe: I've been rapping for almost 10 years now and have a few tracks ive done myself www.myspace.com/obijoemusic. peace
Jakanory Jeffers: I've been rapping proparly for about a year. I'm a freestyle battle rapper but have started writing tracks now.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes. Skipton, Leeds and Bradford. Love it, its what MSC are all about!! When Jakanory Jeffers went up against Obi Joe for the title of King Battle Rapper at our first event which was known as Pub Dub.

Usualy 2x Technics 1210 Turntables, A Rane TTM57SL Mixer with Serato Scratch Live and a laptop.Anything else?
