Moods & Madness(1996)
Monn Tanno Mondo has performed as a Heavy Metal Group in the past, though recent live performances were wholly Acoustic Rock, because the acoustic rock songs on the albums seemed to always be more popular with a broader range of people who either bought the CD or saw live performances.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Monn Tanno Mondo started in Connecticut in the Eighties, then went to Los Angeles, then Portland, OR. Then Seattle. The situation changes constantly, and the life of any kind of musical artist is sporadic. I go through spells when I don't perform in public until I have the right kind of players, and I know the venue will be a receptive one. My music was Metal for a long time, because it was the most challenging and fun to play as a drummer, and so, I wrote songs that were, naturally exciting to play on a big drum set. I've mellowed with age and prefer to drum to acoustic dobro guitar and bass. My drums are heavy - my trademark sound - and in imagining a heavy drum sound with a slide guitar and you've got yourself a uniquely mind catching sound.
I've Toured in Europe, Asia and The USA with it and it has always gone over big.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, when I can. It takes some time and expense to gather the musicians together in the same place and time. Also, if the potential gigs are worth putting a band together for. There has to be a projected turn out to make it worth the effort. Festivals were always my favorite, rather than clubs.
Your musical influences
My Pop; Eddie Montano The First. I also found Carl Palmer and John Bonham to be quite impressive in their day.
What equipment do you use?
My own. Okay. Vintage Ludwigs (made in America)
