Monks'hood is a hard rock band based in Laguna, Philippines. Simple lang pero rock.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Monks hood was formed in September of 2001. It started when Jeyvi found an ad on TV looking for amateur bands for an inter-collegiate band competition. So Jeyvi called up some old friends and told them if they re willing to form a band and join the said competition. He then called up Aries, Marc and Francis. Ronnie came replacing Francis after the competition, because Francis had his commitments on his original band. In just one jam, the band were able to produce an original composition and they passed their demo to the organizers. The name MONKS HOOD was given by Jeyvi s older brother Bujong while reading a dictionary. Well as they always say The rest was history...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
yes, Monks'hood plays live! Monks'hood performs on every rock oriented shows and clubs. we surely like performing in a live audience. our special moments were, when we performed with the top bands in the philippines... WOLFGANG, RAZORBACK & THE DAWN!
