We originally set out to be a Ska/Punk band, but ended up experimenting in funk, metal, dub, drum n bass and reggae, and have now created something totally unique and refreshing. We have played now with greats like King Prawn, 4Ft Fingers, Crank, Longbeach Shortbus, Adequate7, Graveltrap and Mixtwich and have many more booked with lots of other great bandsBand/artist history
Formed in early 2003. James and Tom decided to form a band just doing NOFX and Sublime covers. Then James, who was already in the death metal band Epitaxis, with Chirs, had the idea of getting him to join Monkey Toast. Then, we all said Oz would be perfect for Monkey Toast as well, so we snapped him up completly, and began work on writing material frantically. We have played tonnes of gigs in shitty little Grantham, with lots of great bands, and now starting to get a name for ourselfs out of Grantham.Have you performed in front of an audience?we have played almost 30 gigs in our first year together. Highlight gigs are Rock City in Nottingham, The White Horse in High Wycombe, and Grantham College.
