Monarch Mathematics
Monarch Mathematics is currently a solo artist who was born in Inglewood California. He attended Long Beach State University to obtain a B.S. degree in Mathematics, hence the name Mathematics. Currently he is finishing up his PhD. in Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego and is expected to graduate in 2004. Hiphop has always been within Monarch's life since a child and he has been rapping for almost 10 years now. Currently, he works along with an undergraduate student in making hiphop tracks.

We currently have no history, all we are trying to do is polish up our art to be put on.Have you performed in front of an audience?Monarch Mathematics has never performed live mainly because he is still busy finishing up his school. However, he has entered in local MC battles before.
Your musical influences
Monarch Mathematics’ influences were hiphop legends like EPMD, Keith Murray, KRS-One, and etc. Matter of fact, you can actually hear a bit of EPMD in him when he freestyles.What equipment do you use?
Monarch Mathematics works with various producers and he himself produces as well. To sum it up, most of the line equipment in use would be the Akai MPC 2000, Ensoniq ASR-10 Keyboard, Technics turntables, various hardware synthesizers, and a lot of records.
