Mobtown Hipcats
We are a Baltimore based band specializing in New Orleans flavored funk and blues. Dance, sing, clap your hands and get crazy! http://www.mobtownhipcats.com
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Once upon a time, a gal was tired of hearing the same classic rock tunes, the same alternative tunes, and the same blues standards that you could hear on any radio station or local night club. She decided to pick the best musicians to join her on her journey to play the best music written and to add some origianls on the way. The Mobtown Hipcats were born because we believed that there were others like us that wanted to hear something different, musical, upbeat, and fun!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
As far as we know we still have a pulse...though we love music so much we would probably play dead. We play alot at the 8X10 Club in Baltimore. LOVE IT! A most special moment was the time Tom's sexy italian eyes locked onto Tim's baby blues... just after Tim ripped the cables out of Tom's keyboards with the headstock of his bass...you've seen Al Pacino in the Godfather...sort that kind of special(:
Your musical influences
