It's just me- Robbie Porter. I write songs, I record rough-as-a-cob demos, and then I foist them off on others.
I just want to write these days. I like it, and I'm learning what I can and can't do musically. (It's not like I have a choice, really..40 year olds with questionable pitch and sanity are not exactly hot property in the Biz.)
Oh, yeah. I'm a gigging fool. If they're payin', I'm playin'. I love live music and I probably always will.
I like anything done well. My favorite Songwiters list goes like this: Sting, The Gin Blossoms, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Merle Hagaard, the late great Johnny Cash, Mike Reid, Skip Ewing, Joe Ely, and so on. I also like anything David Grissom plays guitar on.
My PC, N4Track, Audacity, a little behringer board, an SM57, an old Yamaha keyboard and two washburn guitars.
