I am MNG aka The Beat Baker, I am a Hip Hop Artist. I am a Producer/ Rapper and a Rapper/ Producer.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been in love with this culture for as long as I can remember. I have the utmost respect for everybody in the game no matter style or sound. I know how hard I work at this shit so I can only imagine what they put in. As for me, I started making beats when I was 15 on a number of different computer programs. But it wasn't until I was 17 and bought my first sampler/ workstation, my baby the MV-8000, that it became more than just a hobby. Where I come from people never respected hip hop as much as I did so rappers and colab artists were hard to find. So now, I do it on my my own, but I'm always up for colabo's so if you think we could make some hot shit, hit me up and lets do this.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Not yet but i'm hoping to. so if you can help me out with that hit me up.
Your musical influences
My love for music was sparked by Jimi Hendrix, But my love for Hip hop was sparked bay Tupac. My Influences are all over the place. from Lil Wayne, to Atmosphere, to Eric B and Rakim, to The Game, and Ludacris. i see every song I listen to or have ever listened to as an inspiration for what I do no matter the Genre, because it give me a chance to overstand what I like and don't like in music.
What equipment do you use?
MV-8000, roland SH-201 synth, pro-tools, and a serling audio mic.
