OUT!
Band/artist history
It all started with poetry in 2002 or so. I moved on to writing lyrics early in 2003, used to do little punch line battles back in jr high. I didn't actually record anything until summer 2004, though. Started with my friend Earl, with whom I founded TB Productions and would make a few tracks. Once we moved on to high school, our musical/ lyrical prowess grew with us, and we decided to cut the little kid style and focus on real hip-hop. The decision to change our name was a direct result of that, as we became Estlan Productions (Earl ESTorninos/ Michael kapLAN). As I continued to delevop my lyrics and general presence among the hip-hop community, Earl shifted more into singing and playing guitar. High School passed quickly and here we are, in one of the in between stages of life, still bringing the music! I've been through ups and downs artistically. I've bought into the whole gangsta mentality genre, and I've been through the diddy-bop/ soft LL type track-making times. Right now, im a bit more Lupe-ish, and I'm completely comfortable with the direction in which im heading... but life changes... hmm... I'll get back at you about that.
