Mjolnir are based in the North West of the United Kingdom and play Heavy / Death Metal in the style of Wolverine Blues-era Entombed, Obituary mixed with Mastodon.
Band/artist history
Mjolnir was formed from the ashes of the North West of the UK's premier alternative band: Shiver Slinky. Shiver Slinky had petered out at the tail end of 2004 leaving Paul King (drums) and John Haselden (guitar) itching to get back into the thick of it.
Paul and John had always been into Metal and jammed metal tunes during Shiver Slinky practices, so after the demise of Shiver Slinky going full-on into metal was the most obvious route. So the decision was made.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We're working towards playing live. Just need a few more musicians.
What equipment do you use?
John uses Epiphone guitars, Laney amps, Peavey cabinets and a modified Rat Distortion pedal. Paul uses Pearl Kits and beer.
