Every now and then, a band comes along with a sound all it’s own, it defies all musical genres. A style so unique, it starts a new revolution in music. Bands like Led Zepplin, the Doors, Queen, Tool, Nirvana, and Metallica all fit that description. Mixbreed also fits that description.
Mixbreed based out of Philadelphia, PA, was formed in early 2001. In just over a year, Mixbreed has accomplished so much. Mixbreed have played several clubs in Southeastern PA/Southern NJ area. Mixbreed has also received airplay on various radio stations in the PA/NJ area. Mixbreed have recorded 2 demos and a 3 song cd entitled “Lack of Structure.”
Mixbreed’s sound has been described as heavy yet melodic. A sound that combines several influences, but clearly stands alone. Styles such as heavy metal, classic rock, hardcore punk, grunge, and blues have all inspired the Mixbreed sound.
Mike(lead vocals) delivers his lyrics with strong emotion and passion. Josh(guitar) and Stu(guitar) provide riffs with melody and punch. While Ray(bass) and Al$(drums) head up a thundering rhythm section.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, The tri-state area, Hell fuckin yeah, our first show the drums fell apart.
