The Misteazas is a local Philippine female hip hop duo .. both raised in the U.S. they came back to their homeland to represent hip hop with pinay flavor..
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
2tay, was born in the Philippines but raised on the west coast of California.. Dizzy aka dizchik, was also born in the Philippines but raised in New York... before getting together when they came back to the Philippines, they first started out inthe hip hop industry differently. 2tay, being a solo artist, first debuted onlocal artists' albums while Dizzy started out in a female R&B/rap group called Hev-N-S'nt.. as word spread around of the new New East Coast talent, 2tay and Dizzy were finally introduced and decided to collaborate together, thinking it was a unique trade to have and squash the misconceptions of the East Coast/West Coast rivalry..
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have been fortunate to guest on other local hip hop artists' albums.. unfortunately we haven't been able to come out with our own album due to bad scheduling.. but when we did come out with the REkOGNIZE compilation we did a lot of mall touring, live shows, and even guested on lots of tv shows.. all of those were fun and great experiences..
