Band/artist history
Missed Her Bliss formed in 1996, in Blackburn, Lancashire. Within a few months they started to gig and before long were playing right across the uk (including such venues as the Camden Underworld and the Astoria 2 (now Mean Fiddler). Along the way they released a couple of tracks on compilations and were picked up by holier than thou records and released their debut album, Object/Subject, through the label and Plastic Head Distribution. The album was received well by those who heard it, especially in fanzine land, and Kerrang! who gave an impressive 3K review and made the comment that the band, could well be the next underground heroes. The album was also supported with airplay on Londons XFM and, surprisingly, being put on heavy rotation at some station in Boston USA. This was followed up by an appearance on the WaterDragon Records compilation, Greatest Hits Vol 1, and eps on Addiction Records, as well as their own Pimp Records label. The band have also recorded a couple of acoustic sessions for BBC radio, supported ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail Of Dead and Mculsky amongst other known bands, played the Truck Records Festival in Oxford and 2002's In The City Convention in Manchester, as well as being featured on Radio 1s Onemusic website. Over the coming months the band are to release two new eps via Soviet Union Records Manchester (Oceansize, Transelement, Tsuji Giri) and, and support this with dates across the UK.
