MIS hip hop
M.I.S. or Maylman, Ice, and Sweet Sound, came together in the year 2000 to perform permanently in the name of Jesus Christ. Our goal is centralized around the praise and worship the Gospel, that is the Word of God; the sole Truth.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
M.I.S. or Maylman, Ice, and Sweet Sound, brother and sister group from Cincinati, Ohio, came together in the year 2000 to perform permanently in the name of Jesus Christ. Growing up most of there lives in Cincinnati, Ohio; M.I.S. has experienced their share of hardships, gang violence, and riots. These events has led the group to believe that, as apposed to gworldlyh influences, there is not enough of a godly influence in this world. So they have taken it upon themselves to try and change that.
Experience includes six years of dancing, singing and rapping. Such venues and events as Parkyfs Farm-The Zone including Nicole C. Mullen, Talent contest including Charles Fold as judge, Karen Clark-Sheard as guest artist, Crystal Palace opening for guest artists Trin-I-tee 5:7, as well as traveling across the country dancing for LG Wise and Wise Up Records.
M.I.S.fs main goal is to aid in the spreading of the gospel by way of a hip hop and R&B sound. Their goal is centralized around praise and worship and the spreading of the Gospel, that is the Word of the God; the sole Truth. Infiltrating the genemyfsh camp to rescue and free lost and captured souls. Thatfs the mission.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Definately, we have performed at several churches and events in the tri-state area.
Your musical influences
Group inspirations include Crossmovement Records, T-Bone, Fred Hammond, Dedric and Damita Haddon, Souljaz, Karen Clark-Sheard, Clark Sisters, the Wynans, Virtue, Lisa (Left Eye) Lopez, Yo-yo, Da Brat, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Janet and Michael Jackson. Each artist has brought inspiration to M.I.S. whether through their servitude for the Lord or their various abilities Erapping, singing, dancing, etc.
