Born and raised in Montreal, Mira Shanti is one of many young up and coming artists that's been working on her crafts since she was just a little girl.... from putting up a play in her own backyard to singing as a fine member of the Saint Lawrence choir; The Montreal Symphony Orchestra...

Always was musically trained. Sang for different types of bands, but started working on my own craft in 1995...
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well actually with the choir, I had the opportunity to sing twice at the "famous" Carnegie Hall in New York City... that was like a dream come true..
Now i just wish for someday to have that same opportunity of a lifetime to perform my own music in it's great Hall.
Meanwile i'm writing new songs, recording at home and performing in my living room! ;D

To tell you the truth, I love practically almost everything that sounds good to my ears... from good pop-rock to eclectic indie sounds... I'm very diverse when it comes to music. Likes; Bjork, Liz Phair, Breeders, Mazzy Star, PJ Harvey, Tori Amos... Beck, Beastie Boys, Jay-Z, Chemical Brothers, Air, All Folk songs from the 70's and much more! Oh yeah, John Lennon, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley... love him... may they rest in peace

Just me and my guitar for now.. until I meet the right peeps to jam with! Just putting the word out! lol.. ;)

love "Echo," very laid back and trippy. Perfect. You should think about making it available as a download. it belongs on peoples ipods. I let people download all of my songs for free -- i figure the chances of making any money from them is infinitesimal anyway.... no matter how "good" you are.... peace

I just got news from John from Rochester New York and the place that I will be performing for the Live Benifit Concert will be November 11 2007 at The Main Street Armory in Rochester NY. Tickets will be on sale through ticket master some time next week. Please come out and support me. I can't wait to play my songs live. I will be performing my song "IN A BOX" playing piano and singing. It will be great. I am so looking forward to this. Thank you everyone for all your support. I will have FM radio play as well as tv coverage. So if you can get to Rochester New York support me & come to my show :)
