Minnie and Josie - Duo
We are a Latin Jazz Duo mainly; We play with a Digital Sequencer. we make our own arrangements, over which we sing and play different guitars and Bass. we are not Country or HipHop or Heavy Metal or Reggae or Rock, and we are not prejudiced either. Our style is mostly Brazilian and Caribbean party tunes but we also play American Soft Rock and American Easy Jazz.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Minnie and I met in 1973, that's about it for history, we have no time for bios and that kinda stuff, we are old musicians from the 1960's and we only care about playing Live Music. All kinds of music!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
yes, Live Music is what we do, we will play anywhere they Pay Us Well in US Dollars, thank you.
Your musical influences
American Rock & Roll, Motown, The Jazz Era, British Invasion, 1930's through 2000's. African music, Latin music, European music, we listen and absorb from every artist on planet Earth, we have no prejudices. Music is colorblind. Music is Music.
What equipment do you use?
a lot, JBL speakers, Yamaha speakers, ACE speakers, stereo amplifiers, PA amplifiers, Yamaha Sequencer, Rickenbacker, Gibson, Godin guitars.
