The debut album 'SACRED SILENCE' by Mike Strange -currently based in Manila, Philippines, one of the leading icons in the underground and goth music scene - the frontman of local goth band 'DOMINION' (albums- Hand of Cain & Paralyzia)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The album was a product of 10 years of playing for 'DOMINION', the premiere goth band in the Philippines... handling composing, arranging, playing guitars and vocals.
The album was recorded in a studio in 2003 -playing all instruments - drum & bass programs, synths, guitars, vocals and sound engineering
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Ive been playing for 10 years around the philippines and even played with Eve of Destiny from Japan and Angina Pectoris of Germany. Playing live is the ultimate high.
Your musical influences
The Cure, Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, Joe Satriani, Bauhaus and the whole New Wave 80's music and classical music like Beethoven
What equipment do you use?
I used a KORG trinity, ZOOM drum and bass machine, ZOOM guitar fx, Pandora fx
Anything else?
I'm working on my 2nd solo album and hopefully out by end 2004. The release on DOMINION's 2nd album'PARALYZIA' due 3rd qtr 2004
