Mike Marquard

Mike Marquard, frontman of Grandmother Squash and Hinken occasionally takes a break, picks up an acoustic guitar, sits at a piano, or wonders what life is like on the quiet side. This is the result.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing guitar when I was 13 years old. After a year I started playing with bassist Mike McDonough (Grandmother Squash) and we very slowly formed Grandmother Squash (1999-present?). Also, I played occasionally with Acrylic, my brother's band, throughout 2001. In the Fall of 2002 my brother, Luke, and I founded Hinken where most of my efforts will go once I get back to the United States. Currently, I write, wonder, and tinker.....this is why I have this page.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. I play occasionally myself in Minneosota or the St. Louis, MO area. I also play heavily with my band Grandmother Squash in Minnesota and Hinken in Chicago.
