Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Mike DAYAO aka Micah Jason grew up on the island of Oahu, Hawaii in the city of Honolulu. After an accident playing basketball in high school, he started to pick up the guitar and jam with friends. He grew up listening to traditional & contemporary Hawaiian music, reggae, and his mother at church every Sunday. It wasn't until he moved to San Francisco for college where he found his voice and his unique bass & strum playing style. Some have coined his style to be known as Rasta Rock. Mike Dayao is currently resideing in San Francisco. You can catch him playing at open mics, being the frontman for KAPAKAHI, and other venues around the Bay Area.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live at Matrix Fillmore, Kelly's Tavern, the Canvas Gallery, the Rock-it Room, the Elbo Room. Best placed I played at was the Great American Music Hall.
