Mikael Sjoberg

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Mikael Sjoberg is not only a artist name but the real name Mikael Sjöberg who was born 1984 in Örebro(Pennybridge), Sweden.. Mikael has been into electronic music since he heard "Robert Miles - Children" but what really made him listend to trance was when he for the first time heard the album "Summerbreeze" mixed by "DJ Tiësto" with tracks like Dreaming by BT. After that he started to explore the trance scene and found many great albums both from before & after year 2000. When he heard about music programs for the first time from a friend a new world opend up before him, creating music? Never had he thought like that or as a possibility.. His friend sat there playing in a program called "Dance E-Jay" dragin samples to form a track, it looked so fun so he got a copy and started play around for fun.. But soon he realized that he wanted to create tracks from scratch rather than puzzling togheter samples. He found "Fasttracker 2", playing with midi sounds and get in a little more deep into the creation but soon he wanted more! He got hold of "Propellerheads ReBirth" and it became very dear to him with the cool sounds of a TB-303, he didn't stop using it until the same developers came out with "Reason". That was when he started to create more quality trance with the power the program had to offer. He was very pleased with the quality the program was performing, soon even that wasn't enough and he started using mastering software and Steinbergs Cubase to make it sound even better.. By now Mikael started to climb charts on many mp3 sites and recognized by people as a top amateur producer.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
