Midway (band)

Midway was formed in the South Bay of California in 1999. After playing in many bands together the previous 5 years, guitarist Frank Misceo, drummer Chris Sowers and bassist Joe Carey joined up with longtime friend and vocalist Johnny Villao to form Midway. Midways sound is derived from a nice blend of hard rock and blues. Imagine, Pearl Jam meets Led Zeppelin. Midway recorded and released the album "Pale Tree" in 2000. They played the LA rock scene, playing such venues as The Whisky, The Roxy and the El Rey theater, just to name a few. Midway broke up 2001. However, in October of 2010 the members reconnected and have been working on new music ever since. 2011 and beyond are shaping up to be exciting times for Midway.
