Welcome to Midnight Monkey Club! We are a 4 peice rock band from Sheffield that plays mostly our own composites of funk/blues/rock. An interesting combo? We think so! The 4 members of the band are Ryan Eyre - rythm guitar/vocals, Paulie Ray Vaughan - rythm/lead guitar, Leeroy Bradley - Bass, Glenn Wild - Drums.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started out a year ago Nov 2003 at the Effingjam in Rotherham. We met, talked and started jammin' together at a practice room in Rotherham. Recorded a poor demo at the same place, got about 5 songs together and did our first public performance at the Efiingham (effingjam) Arms pub in Rotherham. Got a few more gigs, eventually Playing in Sheffield at Classic Rock Bar and Boardwalk. Just recently recorded a new 3 track demo at a friends house and hope to get gigs further afield, maybe get signed too!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we play live in Rotherham and Sheffield at the moment but will be venturing further a field in 2005! We love playing live cos' we do our own thing on stage and when we gel we rock! We have on two occasions done two gigs in one night which was pretty hectic. But special moments are playing to a packed SNAFU in Rotherham and a packed Clasic Rock Bar in Sheffield.
Your musical influences
Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Metallica, Gary Moore, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Spinal Tap (laffs), mostly old school rock really.
