MICK LUTER-CHICAGO'S PREMIERE ARTIST!Band/artist history
Mick Luter is always on the grind. From working heavy hours as a Fed Ex driver to knocking out numerous hours late night in the studio, he keeps his head high at all times. Hes recorded with the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Bump J, Mikkey, Slum Village, The Dramatics and Stack Bundles to name a few.
His desire to share his love of music -and music making- brought him to the 2000 Source Unsigned Hype Battle where he outlasted all emcees(over 150). When i was in school at Temple U. in Philadelphia, my English teacher suggested being a writer because i aced everything he gave me! This battle proved that i could take it to the next level.
He then connected with legendary producer NO ID who helped Mick craft his first album titled The Word. This classic LP earned five star reviews from a number of critics and had fans eager for his next release. The result, for the benefit of hip hop fans everywhere, is THE MICKSTAPE-HUSTLE HARDER VOL.1!
Mick produced this as if it was his first studio album. He says, I like to take time with my rhymes. I want fans to know that my words are personal and not just verses and hooks. Luter quickly grabs your attention with unique wordplay and visceral storytelling that has fans starving for more. With tracks like M.O.M.M.Y., Someday(produced by 1120-he also produced Liquor Store for Chicago artist Mikkey) and Days Of Our Lives, he reflects a variety of moods for a wide range of listeners. Other tracks such as Home and The Science exemplify his approach
