Acoustic Folk

Hi my name is Mick Burrows and I am an acoustic singer songwriter, I live in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands and play in Acoustic clubs in that area, I have also played at clubs in East Sussex and Kent. I have just finished recording my first CD, which has been received very well, it has eight original tracks and four cover songs. I really love the acoustic guitar and have had many over the years! some I wish I still had! Others shall not be mentioned!
Band/artist history
My history is that I have always loved playing and singing and began performing when I was at Avery Hill College training to be an Art teacher in 1972! It was a great place to be in the Seventies in South East London and I met many talented people and made some wonderful friends, amongst them the comedians Hale & Pace, the band The Late Show, they had 2 top 50 hits and played on TOTP's twice! Good guys! So I have played ever since and loved every minute of it! Especially as I have now taken early-retirement and made my first CD, All at Sea.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
As mentioned above I play live 4 nights a week! Love it! Every moment is special in it's own way! The 'ommer and chain spoken word & music club in Cradley Heath was great! Thanks Brian & Loz! Performing live on WCR radio station Wolverhampton, Talking and performing on Loz's show, blackcountrypodcasting.com, check it out, I'm on 2 shows 137 & 142 I think,it's on his site on the past shows. I play at various clubs in the West Midlands including, the Painters Arms folk club in Coseley on Monday nights, a lovely informal singaround run by Terry and Kath Pitt, the Folk at the Oak club Tettenhall, W-ton on Tuesday nights, Daisy roots Folk club at the Springvale sicial club, Bilston, again run by Terry & Kath & Thursday nights at the Longlands Tavern in Western Road, Wollaston, nr Stourbridge, West Mids.
Your musical influences

Current favourites? David Munyon, Richard Shindell, Shawn Colvin, Eliza Gilkyson. I've got over 1500 CDs & 2500 Vinyl albums!
