Most known for playing a guitar made from a car muffler, Michael Shaun Norton draws from two distinct backgrounds. His slash and burn guitar work is drawn from his childhood years of growing up in the still somewhat uncivilized hills of the Ozark Mountains while his whiskey laced vocals are more akin to the hollerin' style of roadhouses lining the swamps of the deep south. A protege and friend of the legendary Sonny Landreth, Michael is often looked to as one of the rising stars of slide guitar blues. His sound isn't limited to blues though; Michael's band puts on a ferocious, high energy show laced with elements of hard rock and bad intentions. With songs about ghosts, spook lights, whiskey and "wimmen who done wrong", Michael is bringing a hip and unique perspective back to the blues.
