Michael Kastrup

Old school synthesist Michael Kastrup, drops in here from time to time.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Been working as a studio musician for 15 years and used for programming, arranging and producing. I started as a programmer on atari Pro 16 & Pro 24 system and introducing studios to music on computers. From then on it was music in alt its flavours for artists, television, radio, theatre and art. After a long period of time i came to the conclusion that music making was utterly boring and the only reason i kept at it was for the money and not the music it self. I could have started something solo at that point but i was drained and couldnt think creative anymore. Every note i lay down was with a $ in mind. So i simply had to break away from music. It took about 7 years before i turned on a computer with music making in mind. Did a few years research on music software and feel GOOD TO GO again. This music round is going to be about me, my inner thoughts without the $ filter ;) Fasten your seatbelts, it may be a bumpy ride...
Your musical influences
Alan Parsons Project (1976-1982), Jean Michel Jarre (1976-1978)
