Michael Hede
I am a solo electronic musician from Dover, NH who typically writes music using a mix of hard beats, distorted drums, symphonic instruments and industrial style synths and bass lines. My goal when I write is to create a mood and to convey a certain feeling and to create an atmosphere. I like to be both harsh and smooth, melodic, dark and beautiful all at the same time.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
My history simply consists of me writing music at home and working hard on my songs. I feel I am at the point where my work would be enjoyed so now is the time to get my work out to be heard and to make it into the recording industry full-time.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I don't play live, but when I can get the right equipment to do so, I will look into it.
Your musical influences
I have many musical influences. Some can be heard more easily than others in my work. These are a few: Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, The Doors, Dr. Dre, KMFDM, Photek, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Ice Cube, Nirvana, and Rage Against the Mahcine to name a few.
What equipment do you use?
I have a Mac G4 and start most of my work in Propellerhead's Reason. I also manipulate sounds in Ableton Live and use Digidesign's ProTools to furhter mix and master my work. There are some other things I do or use here or there but for the most part, that sums it up.

I would love to become a record producer, and I am just starting to make my music available to attract attention.
